The Origin of Stanford’s First Climate Week.
Stanford Climate Week was an initiative by Mary Lee, who alongside Marco Andono Sie and Avni Vats, recognized the need to bridge the sustainability gaps across campus and bring all 7 schools together in the fight against climate change.
From here, the week has grown into a campus-wide initiative. Students, no matter their background or discipline, could see the powerful impact they’re capable of making to help our planet.
What started as a vision to unite and inspire students has become Stanford’s first-ever Climate Week — a celebration of the amazing work already being done, and a call to action for all who want to be part of the solution.
